I'm starting to look human again. Ha

All the scabs are gone now and it's looking really good! I've been using some Eucerin cream that Mickey has and let me tell you, it is miracle cream! :) I love it!
Tomorrow is my 5 week mark! On Monday I saw my physician's assistant for a follow up appointment and he told me to start resting my foot on the floor when I walk, so that when I can actually start walking it will be used to the motion again. I have about a week or so and I can start putting weight on it! Yay! I'm so so so excited! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to me! :) Oh, and to you, also! Haha

All stitches are out! Yay!

I got the stitches out of the long incision on December 10th. It was cut in half and then pulled out from the bottom and top. The bottom half hurt really bad! It snagged on something and just seriously hurt. It was the first time I cried at physical therapy. :/

Enjoy! Ha!

These pics are of my right knee 12 days after surgery! Yesterday I had my post op appointment and FINALLY got all the dressings off. Today I had my first physical therapy appointment. Joe took the first picture while at physical therapy. They did electro stimulus on my quads and took out the bottom stitches. The other three pics I took after I got home. I'll post some more photos later on...

Cheese......Or not...?!

Yesterday morning Joseph, who was on his way home from work, called and asked me to get some sausage out of the freezer. I went to the freezer and couldn't find any sausage in there, so I looked in the fridge. I searched everywhere I thought it would be and decided to look in the drawer where we keep the cheese, just in case. While I didn't find any sausage, I certainly found something else. A bag of sliced cheese. Or, I suppose I should say, what used to be a bag of sliced cheese. It was, in fact, now a bag of mold with only a bit of cheese! Talk about a huge, revolting surprise! I was astonished! Since Joe can get large amounts of cheese for a small price we didn't really think about how little we actually use sliced cheese. Plus, we got the left-over sliced cheese from the family reunion! The moral of the story is, don't buy more cheese than you can handle. And check your cheese frequently for mold! Trust me, you don't want to search your fridge one day and find a bag of mold. :/

P.S. For your consideration (and mine) there won't be a picture. I didn't even take a picture. I didn't want to look at it any longer than was absolutely necessary. Check your cheese people.

Kaymbria

This is Kaymbria. She is a gorgeous little girl that I babysit. She is Joy's daughter for anyone who knows Joy. :) Kaymbria was having fun with some sunglasses and I got some pictures of it! She is so beautiful and such a sweet spirit! She is hilarious and can make anyone smile! I love her!!!! She's so dang cute!!

Visitors!

Nathan came to visit the first week of July. We had fun! Haha! Joseph and I had gone to see the movie Up in 3D so we had those funky glasses. Nate decided they were kind of nerdy and we decided to take some pictures of us being nerdy. It was hilarious!!! We had a lot of fun! We went swimming and we saw Transformers 2. We saw fireworks and had all kinds of fun! Alissa came up with us after the family reunion. We had a blast! I loved hanging out with her! :) We went swimming, we went to see My Sister's Keeper with Mickey and Joy. We did Alissa's drill workouts. We went swimming again. It was great! I was so glad I got to spend time with each of them! I got to know them better as individuals and we strengthened our relationships as siblings. :)

Reunion....

Here are a few pics from the reunion. I feel bad because I only pulled out my camera once. I wish I would have kept it with me the whole time. I could've gotten some great pictures! I guess I got lazy....wouldn't be the first time! Anyway, this was Friday morning at breakfast I believe. I got a good picture of the lake! It was a very gorgeous park! I had a lot of fun! :)

Independence Day!

Here are some pics from the parade on the 4th. Linda, Robbie and their kids came down and spent the day with us and Mickey and Brian's family! We had a blast! I always enjoy spending time with family on holidays! And any other day too, for that matter! I love getting to know the new members of my family! The parade was very good! A bit long but awesome the whole way through! These are a few of my favorite pics from the parade. The first was a little boy in an army hummer. The picture I got I think just captured the moment. I can just imagine this little boy growing up to join the army and serve his country! The next is a stinkin cool orange car. Haha. The Garfield car. ;) The next is Joe's work throwing out frozen string cheese!!!! Haha! I'm not positive but I think someone got hit in the head with one....Dylan or someone.... haha sad but hilarious! No offense :) Hehe! Anyway, I had a lot of fun that day! Later on Brian barbecued chicken and steak for us. (Which was amazing! Thank you Brian!!!) We played games and then did some fireworks! And I did a million and one Pop its! Yay! Which I forgot to take my camera to....So there aren't any pics. But it was fun! I am so grateful for the country we live in and the freedoms that come with that! I'm grateful to the Lord for allowing it to be this way! Hope everyone had a good 4th! :)

Good times :)

I know I'm way behind on blogging. So here goes! These are just a few random pics we took! Having a good time :)

Random Update

I just thought I would let everyone know what we've been up to lately...

About a week ago we had some friends move about two blocks away from us. Arend and Christina moved from Thermopolis, WY. Arend was one of Joe's mission companions. They were comps for about 6 months and they served in the Thermopolis area together. That's where Arend and Christina met and after his mission they dated and got married last January. So Joe has known them for a while, and it's been fun for me to get to know them. :)

A few weeks ago my sister-in-law, Mickey, and I started walking together. It has been so much fun to get to know her better! She is seriously amazing!!!! It's been good for both of us! At first it was really hard because we were both kind of out of shape, but now we're doing pretty good! Last week we walked approximately 3 1/2-4 miles! WOOT!

Last Saturday I went to some dance tryouts for a studio here in Hyrum called Angie's Dance Academy. It was really difficult because I haven't danced very seriously for about a year. The last few weeks I worked really hard to get back into dancing shape. At the tryouts I did the best that I could, even though there were many things I just couldn't do anymore. I pulled a few muscles that really hurt. When I got home I was so exhausted and sore! The next day I could hardly move. I felt like an old lady! Haha! Yesterday the director of the studio called me and told me that I had made it!!!! Yay!!! Practice starts on June 15. I'm very excited! All of my pain and hard work payed off! :)

Joe is working hard as usual. He loves his job and is good at it! He gets pretty good exercise lifting boxes all night! He also gets some pretty good muscle too! He has amazing biceps! ;) haha! He is such a hard worker and I'm grateful for all that he does for me! He's the best and I love him! :)

Also, Happy Mother's day to all of you moms! You are all examples to me of what a mother should be and I can't wait until I can be a mother too and follow in your footsteps!

St. George!

I had the opportunity to go to St. George with my sister in-law Meredith and her three girls, Ashlie, Alyssa, and Mikell. Ashlie and Alyssa had a dance competition and I got to watch them and also help out with Mikell, who is almost 4 months old.
This is Ashlie's lyrical dance. She is such an amazing dancer! She is very skilled and did so great!
Here is Alyssa's jazz dance. She is so cute when she dances! She has great facial expressions and so much energy! She did awesome!
This is me holding Mikell. She is so adorable! She loves to be bounced. :)
Here is Mikell sleeping in the car. She had just finished eating and has a bubble on her lips! :) She is so cute!
Here are Ashlie and Alyssa in their lyrical costumes. They are both such great dancers and even better nieces! :) I had so much fun with them in St. George!

Doing service

I figured that when I went on my mission, that I wouldn't get to use the skills that I have learned working for JP and Brent before I went on my mission.... Boy was I wrong a less active member got me talking and had my companion and I help him redo his walk way up to the front door of his house it was fun..... My comp Elder Pomale and I after we took out the concrete we had it done in an hr it was fun.
After we Put down the sand I got right to work to start setting the stones by hand they where slate of all kinds of colors and shapes. It made me a little home sick doing this but I loved it..

Elder Pomale came and started to help he told me that it will take 2 of us to make it work because we are working for the lord 2 by 2 that is how we do it.

This is Jeff the less active he is putting sand in the cracks of the slate to help them set so that they don't move.

Finished at last sitting looking at our master piece job well done I would have to say.. I never really thought how doing service would bring people together and help the little road blocks that are in the way. Get smaller so that we can teach and help them come back to Christ. This is up in wolf point MT....

Uncle Joe and Zoey

We watched our niece Zoey the other day. She is so cute! Joe was feeding her on the couch and when she was done he layed her on his chest and he fell asleep! Haha! It was so cute! And she just sat there looking around! It was adorable, so of course I had to get pictures! She is such a happy baby! :)
